(Part 2/2): We are still basking in the joy of the incredible night we recently spent celebrating @sofiamfodera & @giovanni.fodera at @granitelinks. CEG DJ @dannytboston has been the family’s trusted DJ for many years, playing at everything from backyard gatherings to other special occasions. Naturally, they turned to us without hesitation to help organize and manage their big day.
Sofia & Gio are a truly remarkable couple, and we’ll keep their story short out of respect for them. Their deep connection was palpable in the room, evident from the heartfelt emotions of their family and friends who gathered to celebrate. Working closely with Danny, the couple planned and executed a night that was both timeless and euphoric from beginning to end. Understanding the dynamics of the room filled with Italians and knowing the family well, Danny rose to the occasion perfectly.
We set up our CEG DJ Booth and showcased the marquee letters S&G as a prominent feature, enhanced by our signature lighting throughout the venue.
While guests enjoyed cocktail hour, our team was busy setting up in the reception room for the anticipated fun and surprises the night would bring. This included special effects like “Dancing on Clouds” for their first dance, strategically placed uplighting, and the incredible sounds of our favorite saxophonist @joesaxboston during dinner and dancing.

Two years ago, the couple exchanged vows in a private ceremony before moving to the UK, where Matt began the next chapter of his career following his time with New England Revolution. During those two years, they welcomed two beautiful children but never had their “big” wedding. Ashley and Matt decided it was time to return to Boston, a city with great sentimental value where they first met and fell in love, to renew their vows and celebrate their love with family and close friends.
We had the honor of working with Ashley and Matt on all aspects of planning, design, and coordination for the day. We built and customized each component to suit their vision of a timeless, classic, and transcendent experience. From start to finish, the atmosphere and energy in the room were electric, with great vibes and positivity palpable all night long on the dance floor.

J.D. Whitfield is originally from California, and moved to Boston in 2015 to host his own nightly show on 103.3 AMP Radio. With over 16 years of experience in the entertainment industry, he’s worked in various settings, from clubs to radio. He’s DJ’d alongside renowned artists like The Chainsmokers and performed at major brand events for Nike and Red Bull. Currently, he’s the official touring DJ for Fangirl Fantasy, a company organizing themed dance nights all across the country. In 2022 alone, he performed over 70 shows nationwide, including events at Big Night Live and Brighton Music Hall.
